bright crayon box quilt progress

Well, I'm more than half way done with the blox. I have the white strip material, and also the assorted colors for the little single squares b/t the blox.

It's getting easier to sew up neat rows using a self healing cutting board and my square plastic rulers, and a washable pen. In the future I would not sew a novelty piece in the center of a square, though, as it pulls and warps the square out of shape. Next time, I would just pick a novelty fabric that's suited better to this design.

So, now that I've had a delightful steak sandwich for lunch, it's time to mellow out a while before going to work. Ciao!

What's the story?

During the past 46 years, I've lived in Connecticut. I've traveled up and around the U.S. and to Puerto Rico, and loved every minute. I've had 4 children who are now fantastically talented adult artists and comedians. I've been married and then divorced and then engaged and then single and finally *big sigh* content. I've grown into a darn good nurse, cook, seamstress, and Mom.

Maybe one of these days I'll get this 'writing' thing down, too.

About Me

My photo
I am where I do and am not where I don't. Not what I was or will be, just 'me'.
